We are Charter/Spectrum technicians trying to save our jobs from an aggressive labor union that says it wants to kick us out of New York City. We don’t take that threat lightly. That is why we started this blog. There is much misinformation out there that has gone unchallenged for a long time. As the vote nears, we want our co-workers to have access to facts.
Instead of trying to prove the facts wrong, which they can't, the union and its supporters mock us. They say we are “stupid", “ignorant", “liars", “a**holes", and worse. That is what we have been hearing since the strike began.
If Local 3 wanted a relationship with us it shouldn't have spent nearly two years harassing and threatening us. We now have the power to decide for ourselves whether to keep Local 3 as our representative. The vote begins in less than a week. Local 3 fought very hard to deny us this vote and lost. If Local 3 is voted out, it has only itself to blame.
