Local 3 repeatedly refers to the “1800 families” who went on strike. The union doesn't want the public to know that the real number of current strikers is nearly one thousand lower! There are currently 850 strikers according to information the company was required to submit to the NLRB in preparation for the upcoming vote.
The whole point of a strike is to put pressure on the company in negotiations. It didn't work at full strength nearly two years ago. How can Local 3 think it will work now at less than half the original number? Why hasn't Local 3 ended the unsuccessful strike long ago.
It seems like Local 3 is using the remaining striking families as pawns so it can keep bashing the company. There can be no other explanation since the strike has not worked.
Sadly, even if Local 3 ends the strike today, it may be too late for many the remaining strikers. They may never recover financially. If this is how it treats loyal members, we will take our chances without Local 3.

I knew it wasn't 1800! That number was always way too high. This should have ended before the 6 month mark however they allowed strikers to continue believing a lie while getting paid from the "original scabs" they provided to Charter. I strike only works if you hold back ALL labor not just one group. Now they are hell bent on trying to destroy Charter and have the politicians do their dirty work. Look at the Twitter feed for L3. They didn't even start it until October 2018. 18 MONTHS into the strike. All they tweet about is pols at their rally (giving them a platform) and telling people to drop Charter. IF they thought they were going to win…
